Dancing With The City Stars. City identities have been invited to be 'stars' for the evening and they are partnered by selected dancers from Eastern Suburbs dance schools and beyond. The 'stars' challenge is to raise as much money as possible culminating in a Dancing with the City Stars Show on Friday 21st March 2014. The evening will be hosted by Mr and Mrs News, Chris Bath and Jim Wilson from Channel 7.

HOW DO THE DANCERS WIN?

Most funds are raised before the big night - this is where this website comes into play. Contestants are competing for the most fundraising votes before the event. So please vote for your favourites - $1 equals one vote.


Best performance on the night - all the contestants are out of their comfort zone and will be working very hard to pull off something entertaining on the night. The audience will have a chance to vote, along with the professional panel of judges who will make the final call.

Jack Vidgen

 

 

 

Since winning Australia’s Got Talent, Jack has released two albums with Sony Music Australia, his Gold selling debut album “Yes I Am” and his more recent “Inspire”. Jack Vidgen’s talents have had him in demand and invites to Japan, China, USA and Indonesia have all been part of this young mans travels over the last 12 months.

Having performed at Caesars Palace to sell out crowds and standing ovations, to performances on Hunan TV China as one of the worlds most talented teens and artist of the week on Brazil radio. Having wowed audiences in the GDay USA LA, New York and Houston Balls Jan 2012, he recently delighted audiences again this year at the GDay USA 2013 balls in LA and Chicago and has just returned from touring Indonesia and doing mission work for the poor and under privileged.

 


Now 17 years of age and following on from his pop single release “Finding You” Vidgen, having spent the most part of the last year living in LA, is happy to be back in his home town Sydney, where his amazing journey first began.

Matt Chapman

 

 

Up-and-coming personal trainer and model, Matt Chapman, has one of the countries best-loved derrieres after being cast as one of two Aussie models to battle it out to become Ellen’s Australian male underwear model. Matt won the title of Mr. Sydney when the Ellen Show visited Sydney is April 2013.

Kerry Chikarovski

 

 

One of the country¹s most respected and admired former female politicians, Kerry 'Chika' Chikarovski held a number of portfolios in government before being appointed leader of the New South Wales (NSW) liberal party in 1998.

 

In 2003 she retired from politics and the following year launched her co-authored autobiography, Chika.

 

Today Kerry is a highly sought after political and media commentator, keynote speaker, MC, charity ambassador, leadership mentor and board director.

 

Her current television and radio commitments include; ABC The Drum, Planet America, Sky news PM Agenda, Paul Murray LIVE, The Nation, Network Ten Studio10, Channel 7 Sunrise, ABC 702 and ABC News24.

 

Kerry is a proud ambassador for YWCANSW, the Eggtober Foundation and the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF).

 

She is a doting mother and grandmother to two year old 'JJ', and recently became a grandmother for the second time to baby Claire Chikarovski.

 

 

Daniel Kowalski
 

 

Daniel Steven Kowalski is a former Australian middle and long distance swimmer specialising in free-style events. He completed in the Olympic Games 200m, 400m and 1,500m individual freestyle events and the 4x200m freestyle relay.

At the 1996 Summer Olympics, he was the first man in 92 years to earn medals in all of the 200m, 400m and 1500m freestyle events.
 

By winning the 4x200m relay at the 1998 world championships, Kowalski, Klim, Hackett and Thorpe put Australia on top of the world rankings in the event for the first time since 1956. At Sydney 2000, Kowalski and Hackett picked up gold medals for their heat swims when Thorpe, Klim, Pearson and Kirby won the final in the 4x200m relay.

Councillor Harry Stavrinos
 

 

Harry Stavrinos is a councillor for Randwick City Council and was first elected in 2012. Harry Stavrinos has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Finance) and is a qualified accountant and has been a registered tax agent for the last 15 years.

 

As an advocate for the community, Harry Stavrinos has goals and objectives to serve the constituents of West Ward to the best of his ability, lobbying for the introduction of the light rail network to ease traffic and opposing any over development in the City of Randwick to maintain a community feel. Stavrinos is also the current Vice President of GACC (Greek Australian Conservative Coalition).

 

In his spare time he is known to impersonate Elvis and is prepared to break a leg in his blue suede shoes for the Cancer Council.
